A couple of weeks ago I finally caught Rogue One on Netflix, and the crazy thing is I liked it so much I find myself drawn back to Star Wars once more…. after God knows how long.
A couple of months ago I did a post that touched upon the ongoing Star Trek vs Star Wars fan debate, although my focus wasn’t about the debate at all. Today, for shits and giggles I just wanted to put together a list of 5 things that each of the franchise does better than the other. Because I personally find it hilariously dumb, you can rest assured that this won’t be one of those silly discussions that try to argue how turbolasers are more powerful than phasers.

Here is a quick spotlight piece on one of my secondary toons, the Klingon Engineering Captain Salassa, who was created as a Klingon-side Delta Recruit. In a sense, she is the opposite number to Zdrossk.

I have mentioned my Bajoran toon Kala Kendris a few times in the past, although I have tweaked her appearance and backstory quite a bit since then (she is no longer a Wonder Woman surrogate). She is a Federation Engineer (the original intend was to round out my main Fed toons: Heidy is a Sci, T’Leia a Tac, and Kala is the Eng), but has been overshadowed a bit by Admiral Brown. That said she is at the endgame point even though her build isn’t completely optimized, and she is lacking some crucial pieces of gear and traits etc.

As someone who is perhaps not the biggest fan of the Star Wars franchise, I don’t rush out to see Star Wars movies and I’m usually content to wait for them to hit the small screen. “The Force Awakens” hit Netflix a few months ago, and “Rogue One” just came out yesterday, so now I am all caught up. I thought I’d do a rather belated review of the two movies, but really this is more focused on a comparison between them.

The latest Feature Episode Brushfire hit Star Trek Online last night. As part of Season 13.5, also added were the Endeavor system, the Ferengi Admiralty campaign and addition UI hotbars. Why on a Tuesday and not the usual Thursday patch day? You got me!
I played through the Episode with three different toons last night, twice with Fungi and once on my own, and here’s a quick review. Spoiler Alert! I will try not to discuss a lot of the details in the episode itself, but I may end up accidentally letting something slip. Let this be your warning!

….. I mean the Vorgon Ryn’kodan carrier, has arrived! After a 25-day wait (albeit minimal grinding effort on Risa), me and most of the playerbase are now in possession of the Fish Ship.

In case you don’t know what Demorecord is, it’s a built-in add-on application within Star Trek Online that allows you to record gameplay as video clips. The details are here. There is also a Reddit thread that explains how to use it, which is very helpful because like most things in STO, the game itself doesn’t actually explain it!
